Ingredients
For the dough
- 1 cup of all-purpose or bread flour
- ½ cup of milk (or water)
- 2 teaspoons of olive oil
- ½ teaspoon of salt
- ½ teaspoon of sugar
- ½ teaspoon of dried yeast
- ¼ teaspoon of garlic powder (optional)
For the sauce
- ⅓ cup of canned crushed tomatos
- 1 teaspoon of tomato paste
- A pinch of sugar
- A pinch of dried herbs
For the pizza
- 5-6 oz of low-moisture mozzarella cheese
- Grated parmesan
Directions
- Combine all dough ingredients in a bowl, and add more flour if needed.
- Cover and let dough rise for 1 hour.
- Grab a 10-inch non-stick pan and coat the bottom in olive oil (and optionally, herbs and spices).
- Place the risen dough ball into the pan, and spread out flat. Stretch the dough up the edge of the pan, as the dough will contract.
- Coat the surface of the dough with a little bit of olive oil.
- Turn the burner on medium and set the broiler to maximum. Cook the dough until the bottom is browned.
- Take pan off of heat. Sprinkle parmesan, mozzarella, and any additional toppings on the pizza.
- Place the pan under the broiler until cheese is browned.
- Remove the pan from the broiler and let cool before cutting & serving.
